Many years ago while camping on Independence Pass bear Twin Lakes in Colorado, we took our pet indoor cat with us on a weekend camping trip. As soon as he jumped out of the car he took off into the woods. We looked for him and called for him for two days, finally having to go home on Sunday night. No cat. The next Friday after work we drove up to see if he was there, no cat. We were heartbroken. Our only solace was that there was a small town about two miles down the road near twin lakes. Hopefully he found his way there. I’ve never taken another cat out with me since that time.

The backpack is now quite common and is found here, there and everywhere. Now today’s backpacks have become very common among students of all ages.
